Waldron Traveled Here By Ox-Team Over 65 Years Ago. Funeral services were held at the Teman funeral home in Grand Ledge Tuesday afternoon for P. F. Waldron, pioneer Danby resident, who died at his home Saturday morning of pneumonia. He was 83 years old. The Rev. Fr. Earl T. Kneebone, rector of the Ionia and Grand Ledge Episcopal churches and grand chaplain of the Grand Ledge Oddfellow organization, officiated. The deceased was a member of long-standing in the Episcopal church and I.O.O.F. Mr. Waldron came to Danby township by ox-team from Clayville, New York, over 65 years ago. He is survived by the widow, Mrs. Emma L. Waldron; two daughters, Mrs. George Hixon of Grand Ledge and Mrs. Robert Anderson of Long Beach, California; two sons, Arthur Waldron of Lansing and Clarence Waldron of Danby; one brother, J. D. Waldron of Ionia. There are nine grandchildren.
