In 1850 she was married to Samuel A. Walker and lived in Sandusky, Ohio, until 1853, when they moved to Michigan, locating on a farm near Orleans Center, Ionia county, where they resided until 1882, when they removed to Belding where they lived until 1903, when she went to Chicago and made her home with her daughter, Mrs. L. A. Krauss. Mrs. Walker had been afflicted with poor health for several years. She died January 29, 1912, after a two-weeks’ illness, from pneumonia, and her remains were brought here and laid to rest in River Ridge cemetery, by the side of the remains of her husband, who died several years ago. She is survived by four daughters as follows: Mrs. J. W. Stanton, of Hart; Mrs. J. W. Morton, of Alma; Mrs. Smith Nichols, of Belding; and Mrs. L. A. Krauss, of Chicago.
