Ionia Sentinel - 1 July 1935
Mrs. Sarah Jane Walker, wife of William James Walker, 901 West Main street, 
died Saturday night at 11 o'clock following a short illness of pneumonia.  Mrs. 
Walker was born in Keswick, Cumberland, Eng., November 26, 1854, and came to 
Ionia with her husband and family in June, 1909, and she has resided here for 
the past 26 years.

Surviving are her husband, William James Walker, three daughters, Mrs. A. C. 
Schadler, Mrs. Vere Brooks and Miss Martha Walker, all of Ionia; and two 
grandchildren, Herman Schadler, Grand Rapids; and Miss Gwendolyn Schadler of 
Ionia.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon with a short prayer service 
at the home, 901 West Main street, at 1:30 and service at St. John's Episcopal 
church at 2 o'clock.  Interment will be at the family lot in Oak hill cemetery.
