Ionia Sentinel - 18 December 1942
William J. Walker, 84, died Thursday evening at 11 o'clock at his home in 
Kendal, Westmoreland, England, March 28, 1858, he was the son of Richard and 
Albertina Walker.  He spent his boyhood in England and later married Sarah J. 
Stanley in England. She preceded him in death in June, 1935.  The couple came 
to the United States from England in 1909.  He was a member of the St. John's 
Episcopal church.

He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Vere Brooks, Mrs. A. C. Schadler and 
Miss Martha Brooks all of Ionia; two grandchildren and three great-
grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Anthony Connelly of Pasadena, California, 
Mrs. Elizabeth Daniels and Mrs. Anna Elmer, both living in England; three 
brothers, Albert Walker, John Walker and Thomas Walker all of England.

Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at the St. John's Episcopal 
church at 3 o'clock.  Rev. Henry A. Hanson will officiate.  The body will be 
taken to Detroit Monday morning for cremation.
