March 24, 1938 Funeral services for Fredrick Charles Walker will be held Friday afternoon, March 25, with prayer service at the home 828 West Washington at 1:30 and at the Episcopal church at 2:00 o’clock, Rev. Earl Kneebone will officiate. Mr. Walker died at 12:30 Tuesday afternoon, March 22 after an illness of three years. He was born in Blawith, Lancashire, England, March 14, 1863. His marriage to Miss Jane Richardson of Keswick, England took place in 1892 and they came to Ionia in 1912. He was employed for several years at the Hayes Body and Stafford Johnson factories. He is survived by his widow, three daughters, Mrs. Albert Lewis, Mrs. Isabel Zemleska and Mrs. May Rumbaugh, all of Ionia; one son, Richardson Walker of Long Lake; eleven grand children; four brothers, William Walker, Ionia, John Albert and Thomas Walker, all living in England; and three sisters, Mrs. Daniels, Mrs. Almer, of England and Mrs. Connley of Pasadena, California.
