Jan. 8, 1953 Services Held Saturday For Mrs. Walker Funeral services were held at Neller Funeral Home here Saturday afternoon for Mrs. Ida M. Walker, 64, who passed away early last Thursday morning at the Meitler home. Rev. Keith Avery officiated at the services, and burial was in Portland cemetery. Surviving are daughters, Mrs. Erma Newman, of Lansing, Mrs. Elsie Eckard, of Mulliken, and Mrs. Mary Green, of Portland; sons, Eldred, of St. Johns, and William and Donald of Portland. Another son, Harvey, was killed while in action with the armed forces during World War II. Also surviving are sisters, Mrs. Veda Montague, of Cadillac, Mrs. Helen Ferrell, of San Bernadino, Calif., Mrs. Greeta Reed, of Reed City; brothers, Walter Bodary, of Lake City, Hayes Bodary, of Flint, Clarence Bodary , of Cadillac, George Bodary, of Flint and Royal Bodary, of Whitehouse, O. There were seven grandchildren. Mrs. Walker was a member of the Methodist church, W. S. C. S., W. R. C., American Legion Auxiliary and Gold Star Mothers. She was the widow of William Walker a barber here for many years. Bearers were the five brothers and Harold Montague.
