Ionia Daily Sentinel Standard, 10 Aug 1942

Double funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock at the
farm home of Bert A. Walker, east of Fenwick in Bushnell township, for Mrs.
Walker, 56, and her four months’ old grandson, Robert Emerson Walker, son of Mr.
and Mrs. Emerson Walker of Ionia.  Mrs. Walker and the child, whom she held in
her arms, were killed Saturday afternoon north of Ionia on M-66 in an automobile
collision.  The service will be conducted by Rev. H.S. Ellis of Belding, and
interment will be in Clear Lake cemetery near Sheridan.

Mrs. Walker was born September 26, 1885, in Sheridan.  She is survived by her
husband, Bert A. Walker; a daughter, Mary E. Walker, at home; four sons, Orlo of
Vickeryville, Clayton of Fenwick, Emerson of Ionia, and Edward at home; three
brothers, Irving Parks of Fenwick, Thomas Parks of Harbor Springs, and Richard
Parks of Gobles.

Four months old Bobby is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Emerson Walker,
of Ionia; his paternal grandfather, Bert A. Walker, and his maternal
grandfather, Irving Durbin, of Carson City.
