Excerpts from Greenville Obituary

BETTY LOU WALKER

Died Thursday May 28, 2026-age 82 of Fenwick.
Born April 28, 1944 in Ionia, MI to Roger & Cecil Chambers.
Wife of Jerry Walker on the Fenwick Farm for over 50 years.
Betty & Jerry raised four children. Betty was the heart of the home, where she 
found joy in cooking for the fmily, and working outdoors doing farm work.
Later in life they explored the upper Michigan & traveling with family.
Survived by her 4 children, Andy (Chris) Walker, Sally (Joe) Bannen, Jeri 
(Trennon) May & Dave (Jill) Walker, grandchildren; Stephanie (Don) Eady, Ryan 
(Jessica) walker, Seth (Annelise) Walker, Melissa(Dylan) Karlsen, Emily (Ben) 
Faris & Ashlyn May (Bruce Phelps).Plus 10 great-grandchildren, brother-in-law 
Doug Hogan, sister-in-law Pat Chambers & good friend Sue Taylor.
Preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Walker, her parents, sister Norma Hogan 
& brother Bob Chambers.
The family would like to thank the staff at Green Acres of Ionia and to Interim 
Hospice for their loving care in Betty's last days.
Celebration of Life on Tuesday June 2nd at the Simpson Family Funeral Home in 
Sheridan (246 S.Main St.).
Visitation will be from 10AM to 11 AM with memorial services starting at 11AM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to Tri-County Community 
Church, where her grandson is the Senior Pastor.
