Walker of Fenwick died on January 8th, 1902, at the age of 77 years, 7 months and 21 days, being born on May 18th, 1824, in the state of New Jersey. He was married to Miss Jane Ferguson in 1847 in the state of Pennsylvania. She died October 5th, 1897. He was drafted into the U.S. service in Pennsylvania and served 9 months, he afterwards moved to Michigan, and was again drafted, and this time served in the army until the close of the war. After the death of his wife he made his home with his son Charles in Fenwick. He had one other son, John. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. D. H. Shelly of Ionia in the M. E. church in Fenwick. He was then laid by the side of his wife in the Clear Lake cemetery.
