WILLIAM): SARANAC ADVERTISER, MI, 12-23-1909: "Jane Elizabeth Green was born in the town of Green, Chenango Co, NY March 15, 1829. She was a young girl of 8 or 9 years of age when her parents came to Michigan and settled on a farm in Shiawassee County where the village of Perry now stands. In 1848 she was married to William Wallace of the same place. To this union 7 children were born and 6 are now living. The oldest son, Farrand A. Wallace, died 25 years ago. Those living are Mrs. I. I. Heirt of Grand Rapids, M. F. Wallace of Sharonville, Ohio, Mrs. Isaac Whaley and Mrs. Watson Titus of San Francisco, California, Will E. Wallace of Ada and Fred H. Wallace of Saranac. In 1865, Mr. and Mrs. Wallace moved from Perry to Ada and bought a farm where they lived for 40 years, leaving it to come to Saranac in 1905 where they lived until they died, Mr. Wallace passing away September 17, 1907. Mrs. Wallace's funeral was held at the Baptist Church in Ada. She also leaves to mourn her loss 20 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, one sister Mr. and Mrs. Sterns of Perry and a host of friends and relatives. Interment in Ada cemetery."
