Ms. Walsh was born April 25, 1914 in Ionia, Michigan, the daughter of Michigan and Martha (Loughlin) Walsh. Aileen was a long time member of SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church. She retired from Mitchell-Bentley in Ionia and the Michigan State Library in Lansing. Ms. Walsh enjoyed traveling, reaching destinations as far away at Italy, France and Germany and all over the United States. She will be sadly missed by her close friends with whom she resided, Clifford and Helen Chapman of Ionia. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, April 14, 2003 at 11 a.m. at SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church with Fr. Melvin A. Fox, pastor as celebrant. Visitation for Ms. Walsh will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Sunday at the Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Home, Cook Chapel, 220 Rich Street, Ionia. A rosary will be prayed at 8 p.m. Sunday evening. For those desiring, memorial contributions may be made to the SS Peter and Paul memorial fund.
