Ionia Daily Sentinel Standard, 30 Jul 1963

Saranac – Mrs. Minnie Walter, 75, widow of Melvin Walter, died Monday at
Butterworth hospital in Grand Rapids.  She was born August 2, 1887 in Berlin
township where she spent most of her life.  In November 1962, she bought a home
in Saranac where she resided until her recent illness in February.  Since then
she had lived at the Clyde Curtiss home on Portland Road.

Surviving are five nieces, Mrs. Ida Gaius of Belding, Mrs. Vesta Mosier of
Sheridan, Mrs. Edna Garlock of Grand Rapids, Mrs. Mae Howard of Ionia and Mrs.
Agnes Osborn of Lansing; and three nephews, Roy Denman of Stanton, Howard Denman
of Saranac, and Claude Emmons of Nantucket Isle, Mass.

Funeral service will be conducted at Morris funeral home Thursday at 2:30 p.m.
with the Rev. Marvin Stewart of Clarksville officiating.  Burial will be at
Saranac cemetery.
