Excerpts from obituary:

Jay C. Walter, aged 51 of Boston Township (Ionia County) died at the Veterans' 
Facility in Grand Rapids

Veteran of WWI, enlisted in  August 1918 - honorably discharged in 1919

Born in Boston township May 31, 1896
Son of Hamilton and Christine Walter

Married in December 1922 to Leah Ayers, she died October 22, 1929

Survived by his daughters, Janet Berryman of Big Rapids; and Wave Mutschler of 
Clarskville

Married Beulah McKinney and his four additional daughters survive, Doris, 
Harriet, Sue and Patsy

Preceded in death by his first wife, his son, Robert (1935 at aged 10) and his 
sister Mrs. Jess Marker (1929)

Military funeral service at Saranac Community Church
Burial in Saranac Cemetery
