CLIFFORD O. WALTER
Lake Odessa - Clifford O. Walter, 79 of route 2, died Saturday afternoon at Pennock
hospital in Hastings following an extended illness. He had been hospitalized since
Aug. 3.

Born in Campbell township September 12, 1893. He was the son of Wilbur and Carrie 
O'Bierne Walter and was a lifelong resident of the Lake Odessa area.

He was a member of the Lake Odessa Sportsman Club. On May 1, 1916, he was married to
Grethel Swarthout of Lake Odessa.

Surviving besides the wife are three sons, Andrew T., Fay C., and Robert C., all of
Lake Odessa; daughter, Mrs. Geneva O'Connor of rural Nashville; three grandchildren; six
great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at Pickens-Koops Funeral chapel in
lake Odessa.

Rev. Howard Vugteveen will officiate and interment will be at Lakeside cemetery,
Lake Odessa.
