On the 9th of March, 1843, she was married to George Walter, at Elk Run. In 1848 they moved to Hancock county, Ohio. In the spring of 1866 they settled in the south part of this township on the farm on which she died. She leaves two daughters, Susan Oberson and Eliza Shuberg and seven sons, Henry, Armstrong, John, George Jr., Lambert, Hamilton and Freemont and twenty-one grandchildren and three great grand children. Her death being the first that has occurred in their family. Through all of her life she was the same quite pleasant wife, mother and friend, ready to assist and comfort all in their joys and sorrows. She has gone to rest. None knew her but to love her. All, husband, sons, daughters and friends can rise up and her blessed. She will be missed by all. Funeral services conducted by Rev. W.H. Wright, were held at her late home on April 7th. In Memoriam. Mrs. Hannah Walter died April 3, aged 73 years, 8 months and 28 days.
