JACOB): THE IONIA SENTINEL-STANDARD, MI, July 23, 1924, front page: "Aged Resident of Berlin, Mrs. Anna Walters, Is Dead - Mrs. Anna Walter, 82, one of Berlin townships most highly respected citizens, died at her home late Tuesday afternoon after a short illness. She is survived by a family of five children, Mrs. Mary Miltenberger and Frank Walter, of Saranac; Mrs. Clara Johnson, of Jackson; Mrs. Fred Courter of Ionia; and Perry Walter, of Keene. Another son died two years ago. She is also survived by one sister, Mrs. Kate Boyer, who has been her faithful companion for 18 years, and two brothers, David Dausman, of Milford, Ind., and Samuel Dausman, of Saranac. Mrs. Watson (?) was born in Goshen, Ind., and in the spring of 1878 she with her husband and children came to Berlin township, which has since been the home of the family. Her husband, Jacob Walter, who was a Civil War veteran, died in September, 1914. Mrs. Walter was a faithful church attendant. The funeral will be held at 2:30 sun time Friday afternoon at the residence. Burial will be at Saranac." THE IONIA DAILY SENTINEL-STANDARD, MI, JULY 29, 1924: "Saranac - Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Walter were held at the home in Berlin on Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock with Rev. W. S. Halladay officiating. A large number of relatives and friends attended and the floral offerings were profuse. She is survived by five children, Mary A. Miltenberger, of Boston; Frank, of Berlin; Clara Johnson, of Jackson; Emma Courter of Ionia, and Perry of Keene. One sister, Mrs. Kate Boyer, and two brothers, David Dausmann, of Milford, Ind.; Edwin Dausmann, of New Paris, Ind.; Mr. and Mrs. John Wilson and Mrs. Goldie Lynch and daughter, of Elkhart, Ind.; Mr. and Mrs. Lee Miltenberger and Dewey Miltenberger, of Bridgeport, O.; William Snyder, Mr. and Mrs. Johnson, Mrs. Bert Clousterman, Mrs. K. Fuller and Mrs. William Cunningham, of Grand Rapids; Mr. Wood, of Missouri, Z. B. Slater, M. G. Slater and daughter, Mrs. Mae Rolston, of Sunfield. Interment was in Saranac cemetery."
