The Lowell Ledger, Thursday, March 21, 1946


Jeanette Ethel Jeffrey was born July 19, 1908, in Ionia and came with her 
parents to Lowell while a very young girl.  She attended the Lowell school and 
later married Maine Walter, December 13, 1931, moving to Flint about seven 
years ago.  At the time of her death, caused by an auto accident, March 9, she 
was living in Vassar, Mich.

She leaves to mourn their loss besides the husband, Maine; her mother, Mrs. 
Henrietta Jeffery of Lowell; six sisters, Mrs. Mary Green of Portland, Mrs. 
Ruth Sattler of Middleton, Mrs. Hattie Hoag and Mrs. George Graham of Alto, 
Mrs. May Fawley of Clarksville, and Miss Helen Jeffery of Lowell; four 
brothers, Charlie Jeffery of Ionia, John Jeffery of Grand Rapids, Thomas 
Jeffery of Bowne Center, and Leslie Jeffery of Grand Haven, besides a host of 
nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

The body was brought to the Roth Chapel where the funeral was held March 13, 
with the Rev. Paul Hoornstra officiating, with burial in Oakwood cemetery.
