HASTINGS-  Thelma M. Walterspaugh, 59, 409 E. Woodlawn, Hastings, died April 21 
in Pennock Hospital in Hastings.

She was born Jan. 7, 1924, in Oxford, the daughter of Joel and Sybil Deyarmond.


She moved to Woodland in 1938, to Lake Odessa in 1947 and to Hastings in 1969. 
She was employed for the last 20 years in Pennock Hospital.

She married Russell Walterspaugh, Jan. 17, 1978, and he survives.

Also surviving are one son, Roger Barnum of Lake Odessa; two daughters, Donna 
Jackson and Wanda Barnum; both of Hastings; one brother, Elmer of Florida; three 
sisters, Mammie Booth of Tenn., Bonnie Vroman of Woodland and Georgia Prater of 
Gaylord. 

Also surviving are two stepsons; Wayne of Battle Creek and Larry of Union City; 
three stepdaughters, Marylee Mathias of Bellevue, Wilma Parks of Union City and 
Maisel Weaver of Arizona; three grandchildren, nine step grandchildren and three 
great grandchildren. 

funeral services were Monday at 1 p.m. from the Girrbach Funeral Home in 
Hastings, with the Rev. Edgar Perkins officiating.

Burial was in the Woodland Cemetery.
