Ionia Daily Sentinel-Std. Friday April 5, 1940

ARTHUR G. WALTON
Word was received Friday by Mrs.Charles Jinks of Ionia, of the death of her 
brother, Arthur G. Walton, 65, who died at his home in Battle Creek Thursday 
morning of heart trouble and asthma. Walton is a former Ionia resident having 
been brought up in this community. He moved to Battle Creek only a few years 
ago. When in Ionia, he was connected with the Pere Marquette railroad and later 
with  the Ypsilanti-Reed Furniture company. He was born in Canada, April 9, 
1875, the son of Mr and Mrs John Walton who moved to Ionia soon after he was 
born.

Surviving are five children, Mrs Amber Shepler of Lansing, Mrs. Esther Jones, 
Arthur Walton, Jr., Russell Walton, and Mrs.Yvonne Turner, all of Battle Creek; 
one brother Harry of Toledo and the sister, Mrs.Jinks of Ionia.

Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 3:30 in Battle Creek.
