Charlene F. Wandel, 77, of Mulliken, died September 25, 2005 at the Eaton 
Community Hospice near Charlotte.  Mrs. Wandel was born in Danby Township 
January 10, 1928 a daughter of Charles J. and Mary (Figg) Compton.

She was preceded in death by an infant son, Brian; and brothers, Roy, Richard 
and Herbert Compton.  Surviving are her children, Connie Coates of Largo, 
Fla., Shirley Malloy of Charlotte, N.C., Gary Wandel of Onondaga, Paul Wandel 
of Mulliken, James Wandel of Springport and Betty Wise of Oklahoma; 18 
grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren, brother Harold (Marilyn) Compton of 
Southfield; several nieces and nephews.

Services were held September 29 at Barker-Leik Funeral Home, Mulliken, with 
Pastor Don Woolum officiating.  Interment was in Danby Cemetery.  Pallbearers 
were Rick Cervantes, Charles Compton, Jeremy Westbrook and Ricky Wandel.
