MARY M. WANDEL
BELDING - Mary M. Wandel, 88, of 414 State street, Belding, died Tuesady, April 12,
at Belding Christian Nursing Home.

She was born on May 6, 1899, the daughter of Alfred and Isadora (Buck) Lee in Lyons,
She attended Lyons High school and was a 1919 graduate. Wandel also attended Ionia
County Normal, after which she taught in Rural Schools such as Schafer and Keefer.

She married Elba Wandel in march of 1920, who preceded her in death in 1973.

She is survived by five sons; Theodore, Robert and Dale, all of Ionia, Alfred of
Muir and Leslie of Chicago; and three daughters, Dorothy Eckley of Ionia, Eudora Ludwig of
Muir and Betty Keefer of Conway, Arkansas. Also surviving her are 30 grandchildren, 44
great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

The funeral will be held on Saturday, at 2 p.m. at the Temple Baptist church in
Ionia, with the Rev.'s Ralph Barton and James Houseman officiating. Burial will follow the
service at the Balcom cemetery in Ionia.

Family will receive family and friends from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursday, all day on
Friday and until noon on Saturday. Memorials can be made to the Temple Baptist Church.
