David Mark Wandell, 44, of Ionia, passed away Sunday, June 30, 2002 in Ionia.  
He was born Sept. 27, 1957, the son of Alfred and Frances (Lowery) Wandell.  He 
went onto marry Debra Lynn Helmer Oct. 22, 1977 in Ionia.  David enjoyed the 
outdoors, cars, hunting and feeding birds.  He loved his family and animals.

He is survived by his parents, Alfred and Frances Wandell of Muir; wife, Deb 
Wandell of Ionia; daughters, Angela Wandell of Ionia, Jessica Wandell of Ionia 
and Staci Wandell of Ionia; brothers, William (Brenda) Wandell of Pewamo and 
Michael (Colleen) Wandell of Ionia; sister, Anne (Tim) Randall of Lyons; father 
and mother-in-law, Maynard and Barbara Helmer of Ionia; brother-in-law, Randy 
Helmer (special friend, Sandy Klein) of Ionia; sisters-in-law, Sue (Brian) 
Bowerman of Ionia, Connie (Jeff) Bowne of Ionia and Ann (Dennis) Ward of Ionia; 
also several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Wednesday at Lake Funeral Home in Ionia 
with Rev. Ken Harger officiating.  Interment Easton Cemetery.  Visitation will 
be held 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral 
home.    Anyone wishing may make a memorial contribution for a fund established 
for David’s children or juvenile diabetes: Envelopes available at the funeral 
home.
