The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Monday, February 26, 1923

The Body of Mrs. William Wantiez, who died in St. Mary’s hospital, Grand 
Rapids, late Friday night, arrived this morning at 7:36 and was taken to the 
home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. L. O. Trowbridge, East Main street.

Mr. and Mrs. Wantiez had made their home in Ionia until about two weeks ago.  
Mr. Wantiez was working in Grand Rapids and his wife went down to do light 
housekeeping.  She was in the hospital but two days.  The cause of the death 
was pneumonia.

Mrs. Wantiez is survived by her husband and three babies, one aged 10 weeks, 
one a year old and one two years old, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. L. O. 
Trowbridge and an uncle, Louis Smoot.  Mrs. Wantiez was born in Kansas, July 
13, 1901.
