Ionia Sentinel Standard, 21 Sep 1953

Elizabeth Carpenter Ward, 79, died at the Hawley Convalescent Home in Muir 
Saturday, Sept. 19 at 5 p.m.

She was born March 11, 1874, in Rochester, New York and lived the majority of 
her life in Muir.  She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Erastus Butler.  There 
are no surviving relatives.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Sept. 22 at 2 p.m. from the Shaw-Rivett 
funeral home in Muir.  Burial will be in the Muir cemetery.
