Funeral services for Mrs. Ella E. Ward, 61, will be Friday at 1:30 p.m. at 
Morris-Roetman funeral home at Saranac.  Rev. Glenn Pettigrove will officiate 
and interment will be at Saranac cemetery.

Mrs. Ward of 5792 Jackson road Berlin township, died early Tuesday morning at 
Belding Community hospital.

Born in Fenton, December 31, 1909, she was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Claude 
Barger.  December 7, 1929, she was married to Samuel Ward who died September 
15, 1955.

She was a resident of Saranac area 26 years and employed by Saranac 
Manufacturing company and Universal Products of Saranac.  A former member of 
South Boston grange she was also associated with Wesleyan Methodist church of 
Berlin township and secretary and treasurer of its Sunday school.

Surviving are two sons, Dale and Duane, both of Saranac; two daughters, Mrs. 
Donna Holmes and Mrs. Daryl Keech, both of Saranac; 14 grandchildren; one 
brother, Judson Barger of Saranac; one sister, Mrs. Marie Marshall of Six Lakes.
