Harry Jay Ward, 65, of Ronald Township, loving husband, father and grandfather 
passed away on Tuesday, January 14, 2003 in Grand Rapids.  Mr. Ward was born on 
February 2, 1937 in Grand Rapids the son of Arza and Lucille (Lejenne) Ward.

Harry worked for ITM in Lowell for several years before retiring in 1998.  

Surviving are his wife of 40 years, Veronica Kay Ward of Ronald Township; two 
daughters, Cindy (Robert) Huddleston of Grand Rapids, and Cheryl (fiancé Harlow 
Hansbarger, Jr.) Ward of Ionia; six grandchildren, Casey, Courtney, Caitlin 
Huddleston, and Brittany Livingston, Trisha and Hailey Hansbarger; brother, 
Richard (Florence) Ward of Lyons; stepbrothers, Raymond (Jean) Reed of Sunfield 
and Charlie (Shirley) Reed of Lansing; stepsisters, Hazel (Ron) Simmons of 
Sunfield and Georgia (William) McGriff of Florida.  He was preceded in death by 
his parents and two brothers.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Melvin Fox, Pastor at 10 
a.m. Friday, January 17, 2003 at SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church.  Rite of 
Committal will take place in the spring at Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery.  The 
family will receive friends at the Cook Funeral Home, Rich Street Chapel from 2 
p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Thursday.  A Prayer service will be held 
at 8 p.m. Thursday.  Memorial Contributions may be made to the Spectrum-
Blodgett Campus Heart Failure Clinic, in memory of Harry J. Ward.
