Services for Mrs. Milton Taylor, of Keene, were held at 11 o’clock, Rev. T. J. Spencer, her pastor, preaching an able sermon to a large congregation. At 1:30 p.m., the funeral of Lucius Ward was held, Rev. Spencer also conducting the services. Rev. Spencer was unable to respond to a call to conduct funeral services at the Orleans U.B. church same day. Lucius Ward, of Easton, died Saturday of rheumatism. Mr. Ward was a pioneer resident of Easton, from which town he enlisted, and served during the war as a member of Co. K. 21st infantry.
