The Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, Thursday, September 1, 1921

Word was received today of the death of Mrs. Ellen Ward at her home in Bay 
City.  The body will be brought to Ionia Friday noon and will be taken 
immediately to Highland Park cemetery, where burial will take place.  She is 
the widow of Frank Ward, who formerly was a clerk in the office at the 
reformatory.  She is survive by two children, William and Mabel Ward, of 
Saginaw.
