The Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, Friday, April 14, 1922

Elmer E. Ward, age 55 years, passed away this morning at 6 o’clock at his home 
443 North Rich street after an illness of about a week.  Besides his wife Mr. 
Ward leaves three children, two sons, Elmer and Kenneth and one daughter, 
Muriel, and two step-sons, Claude and Joe Keift, besides two nephews at Battle 
Creek.  The funeral will be held from the residence Monday afternoon at 2 
o’clock.  Burial will take place in the family lot at Highland Park cemetery.
