Mrs. Ward's death came as the result of a stroke which she suffered early last week. She also suffered a stroke last fall and had not been enjoying the best of health for some months. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. W. Whorley and was well known in the vicinity of Dildine. For a time she was a teacher in the rural schools of Ionia county. Besides her husband, Herbert Ward, she is survived by three brothers, Claude Whorley, who resides southeast of Portland; Royce Whorley, of Easton and Willis Whorley of Ionia and two sisters, Mrs. Marjorie Curtis and Mrs. Irene Gott of Ionia. The body has been removed to the home in Easton township. The funeral service will be held from the home Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock and from the Dildine church at 2:30. Burial will be in the Easton Cemetery.
