Ionia Sentinel-Standard - Fri. Sept. 16, 1966

SARANAC- Samuil W. Ward, of _792 Jackson Rd. Saranac, died Thursday morning at 
Blodgett hospital following an illness of three weeks. Born April 30, 1905 in 
Paulding, Ohio, he was the son of Harry and Lucille Ward. Mr. Ward had lived at 
the preset address on Jackson road 21 years. He had been employed at Ionia 
Manufacturing company _ 1/2 years.

He was former member of the South Boston grange.

He is survived by his wife, Ella of Jackson road, Saranac;; two sons, Dale and 
Duane of Saranac, two daughters, Mrs. Donald Holmes of Saranac and Mrs. Robert 
Keach of Lowell, and 12 grandchildren; five sisters, Mrs. Ethel Wright of 
Stanton, Mrs. Nell Clouse of Howard City, Mrs. Hazel English of Grand Rapids 
and Effie Ward of Chicago, three brothers, William of Belding, Bernard of 
Greenville and Donald of Smyrna.

Funeral services will be Monday at 1 p.m. at Morris-Roetman funeral home in 
Saranac. Burial will be in Saranac cemetery with Rev. James Frank officiating.
