June 7, 1993 Graydon (Bud) Ward, 64, of Portland died May 30, 1993, in Portland. He was born in Portland on March 3, 1929, the son of Zene and Agnes IKirkham) Ward. He was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, the Portland Bowling Hall of Fame, the American Legion Dale Hyland Post #129; and the VFW Post #4090. He owned and operated Ward’s Garage in Portland for 50 years. Surviving are his wife, Virginia; three daughters, Patricia (James) Dutcher, Sue (Gary) Feldpausch, and Cindy Ward, all of Portland; four sons, Steven (Rebecca) Ward of Portland, Robert (Julie) Ward of Portland, David Ward of Portland, and Michael (Tina) Ward of Grand Ledge; seven grandchildren; one sister, Jean (John) Barber of Portland; and in-laws, Oscar and Bernita Simon of Fowler. The Rosary was recited May 31 and June 1. Mass of the Christian Burial was celebrated June 2 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Portland, with Rev. Larry King officiating. Casket bearers were Wayne Foote, Joseph Fedewa, Eugene Snitgen, Bruce Bennett, Thomas Allen, and Francis Simon. Interment in Portland Cemetery. Arrangements by Gorsline-Runciman Neller Chapel in Portland.
