Mr. Ward, upon a tower to make some repairs, after hooking his belt securely he started working, and in a very short time was seen to collapse, the belt holding him until he could be taken down. It was some minutes before this was done and when it was accomplished, the body was lifeless. Mr. Ward was a former resident here and did the electrical installing at the reformatory. His wife was Miss Lucille Gibson of the city and at one time lived with her parents north of Muir on the Emory Townsend farm. She is planning on making Ionia her home. They had only been married about 18 months. Mr. Ward leaves a mother and two brothers.
