Ward died unexpectedly at his home at 310 ˝ Hall street, Monday afternoon. He had not been feeling well for a couple of days and on Monday afternoon mentioned that he was tired and would lie down for a little while. A short time later it was found that he had passed away. He was born in East Jordan, Jan. 18, 1900 and was married March 4, 1921 to Edith Reynolds of Lansing. They lived in that city 16 years and came to Belding in 1932. He had been projectionist at the local theatre most of the time since then. He had done some contract building and with John Mahar built the Bowling Alleys known as Belding Recreation and operated the same for three years. He was a member of the Sportsman’s club and the Elks lodge of Grand Rapids. He is survived by his wife, one daughter, Mrs. Betty Calandro of Grand Rapids; two sons, Milton, Jr., of Lakeview, and Bob of this city; one grandchild; his mother of East Jordan; one brother, James of East Lansing; two sisters, Mrs. Mitt Caldwell of Lansing, and Miss Virginia Ward of Detroit. All of the immediate relatives were present for the funeral services which were held at Fales-Huffman Funeral Chapel, Wednesday at 2 o’clock. Dr. P. L. Graham of the Congregational church officiated, and burial was in River Ridge cemetery. Pallbearers were Peter VandenBos, Earl Rhodes, Clarence Martin, Ken Lybold, Cornelius J.
