Deloris was born on Feb. 1, 1935, to Emery Fred and Helen Irene Strickfaden Beech in Grand Ledge. She was raised in Lansing and attended Lansing Public Schools. On May 11, 1965, Deloris married the love of her life, Ronald Wallace Ward, in Belding, with whom she spent 41 years. Most of her adult life was spent caring for other people, both elderly and young, as a private caregiver, which she loved doing. There were many things she loved including crafting, driving and traveling. Deloris is preceded in death by her parents and five brothers and sisters, Gerald Emery Beech, Darwin Darrel Beech, Susane Linda Visster, Roger Denning Beech and Terry L. Beech. She is survived by her husband, Ronald; two daughters and sons-in-law, Deborah and Bob Hester of Florida, Robin and Gary Yeasley of Belding; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Harold Jr. and Becky Clark, Craig Clark, all of Greenville; four brothers and three sisters-in-law, Gaylord and Shirley Beech, Emery Fred, Jr. and Debrah Beech, all of Belding, Thomas Lee and Marion Beech of Greenville, Randy Scott Beech of Belding; 13 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren, her first husband, Harold Clark; and several nieces and nephews. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Legion Post 203 in Belding. Private family services are being handled by Huffman-Brigham Funeral Chapel in Belding.
