Bonnie L. Ward, 91, passed away on Wednesday, April 30, 2014.  She was born on 
October 5, 1922 in Muir, MI the daughter of Julius and Myrtle (Gillispie) 
Kirby.  

Bonnie enjoyed crocheting, needlepoint and embroidery.  She always said her 
grandchildren kept her young, and she babysat them for many years.  

She married Solon Ward in 1948, and he preceded her in death in 1975.   Also 
preceding her in death were her parents; children, Edward Comer, Eldon Ward, 
Audrey Markham, Helen McArthur, and Dolores Hough; 15 brothers and sisters.  
Surviving are her children, Sandra Ashworth, Bonnie Lou Miller, Mary (Monnie) 
Dunn, Raymond Ward, and Sue (David) Brey; many grandchildren and great 
grandchildren; brother, Leonard (Roxie) Kirby. 

Interment will take place at a later date in Lakeside Cemetery.  Arrangements 
are entrusted to Lehman Funeral Homes, Ionia.
