June 12, 2012 Lucille Ward, 79, of Saranac, passed away Sunday evening at home. Lucille was born in Ann Arbor on Dec. 22, 1932, the daughter of Orile and Jane Grindle. She was married on Dec. 18, 1954 to Dale Ward and he preceded Lucille in 2001. She was also preceded by her parents and two sisters, Mildred and Ruth. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and playing cards. For a number of years, Lucille worked as a Para-pro at Saranac Elementary School and at the Ionia Free Fair. She was a member of the Berlin Center United Methodist Church and the Berlin Center Grange. Lucille is loved and survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Nancy (Ed) Feuerstein of Belding; her grandchildren, Angela (Kevin) Guernsey of Saranac and Greg (Heather) Feuerstein of Ionia; and her great grandchildren, Paigelyn and Lane. Funeral Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, June 14, 2012 at Berlin Center Methodist Church with Pastor Ken Harger officiating. Committal prayers will follow in Saranac Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Johnson- Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding. Memorial contributions may be given to Berlin Center United Methodist Church.
