Feb. 11, 1976 ROBERT T. WARD MUIR - Robert Thomas Ward, 45, of Hogan road, died unexpectedly Monday at his home from a heart attack. Born in North Plains township July 26, 1930, he was a son of Thomas J. and Alice Wiggins Ward and was a member of the St. John the Baptist church at Hubbardston. A lifetime resident of the Muir area he was married to the former Georgiann Schafer of Fowler and was an employe of the Oldsmobile plant in Lansing, Besides his wife, Georgiann, he leaves two sons, R. Thomas and Patrick, both at home, mother, Mrs. Alice Ward, two sisters, Mrs. Blanch Kruger of Muir, and Mrs. Jean Smith of Hanns, Wy.; three brothers, Leon and James Ward of Hubbardston and Max Ward of Newaygo. Rev. Fr. Eugene R. Fox will conduct funeral mass Thursday at 11 am at the St. John the Baptist Catholic church at Hubbardston. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Rosary will be recited Wednesday at 8 pm at the Burns-Schnepp funeral home at Carson City. A memorial fund has been established for the St. John the Baptist church. Bearers will be Rronald Schafer, Dane Vance, Leonard Riley, Marvin Lockwood, Mike Hogan and Mark Schmitt.
