DAVID WARD
David Alan Ward, 48, of Richmond, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2017 at 
the Hospice Compassionate Care Center of Richmond. His strong faith, prayers 
of family and friends, and powerful will be live carried him through more 
than five years of surgery, radiation and chemotherapy as he battled cancer.

David, who was born in Ionia, Michigan, started his career as an electrician, 
later becoming the maintenance manager for ABM Industries, PGW Plant in 
Berea, Kentucky. He was a member of Southland Christian Church of Lexington. 
Dave was a drummer, continuing with his talent after graduation school 
through church praise teams and worship. He was a woodworker, liked to fix 
cars, and was adept at fixing those household projects.

Survivors include his loving wife, Tamara E. Davis ward of Richmond; and 
their two children, Nicholas Heath Ward and Shelby Grace Ward, of Richmond; 
his mother, Norene Templeton Ward and his father, Maurice E. "Buck" Ward 
(wife, Jean) all of Ionia, Michigan; two sisters, Rebecca "Becky" McCord 
(husband, Todd) of Ionia, MI, and Susan Moon (husband, Doug) of East Tawas, 
MI; and four nieces and eight nephews.

The memorial service for David will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, March 5, 2017, 
at Oldham, Roberts & Powell Funeral Home with Greg Chandler officiating. 
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Hospice care 
Plus, 208 Kidd Drive. Berea,KY 40403; or to the David Ward Memorial Music 
Scholarship Fund, c/o Edward Jones, 2008 Merchant Drive, Ste. #4, Richmond, 
KY 40475.
