SGT. DOUGLAS WARD,
HAWAII

The funeral service of Marine Sgt. Douglas S. Ward, 25, of Hawaii, formerly of 
Woodland, who died Sept. 6, were conducted Sept. 14 at 11 a.m. at the Eighth 
Avenue Church of God with interment Andersonville National Cemetery with full 
military honors.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Cheryl Pinson Ward of Hawaii and formerly of 
Albany, two sons, Andrew Ward and Adam Ward, both of Kailua, Hawaii; parents, 
Mrs. Phyllis Ward of Woodland, Mich., and Harold Ward of Portland, Mich., three 
brothers, Scott Ward, Keith Ward and Jeffery Ward, all of Woodland, Mich., two 
sisters, Mrs. Debra Dameron of Kailua, Hawaii, and Mrs. Susan Shinever of 
Portland, Mich.; grandmother, Mrs. Ruth Tracy of Bay City, Mich., several nieces 
and nephews. 

Jimbrel-Stern was in charge of local arrangements.
