Lake O. Wave, Wed. Sept. 14, 1983

PORTLAND-  Margaret A. Ward, 72, 234 Meadow Lane, Portland, died Sept. 8, in a 
Lansing hospital.

She was born Sept. 14, 1910 in Portland, the daughter of Lawrence Phillips and 
Amelia Yerge.

She retired from Barley-Earhart Corp.

Survivors include her husband, Arza of Portland, two sons, Raymond Reed of 
Sunfield and Charles Reed of Portland; three step-sons; Richard Ward of Lyons 
and Walter and Harry Ward of Palo; two daughters, Georgia McGraff of St. James 
City, Fla., and Hazel Simmons of Mulliken, 29 grandchildren and 19 great-
grandchildren.

Also surviving are three sisters, Elizabeth Jarvis and Caroline Eddy of Portland 
and Mary Blundy of Land of Lakes, Wisc.

Rosary services were SUNDAY AT- P.M. FROM THE Neller Funeral Home in Portland.

Funeral mass was Monday at 1- a.m. from St. Patrick's Church with the Rev. 
Richard Valentine officiating.

Burial was in the Portland Cemetery.
