October 2, 2021 WARD Sondra Ruth Ward age 86 was called to her heavenly home on September 25, 2021 surrounded by her loving family. Sondra was born on July 25, 1935 in Ionia, Michigan to Jerry and Helen (Wheeler) Frost. Sondra married Lewis Ward in 1961, they enjoyed many vacations together with friends especially their trips to the Smokey Mountains.She retired from Michigan Bell in Wyoming,MI. Her life was surrounded by music and her talent was playing the piano beginning at the age of 4, truly a gift from God. For many decades she directed choirs, cantatas and her boys "Half A Ton of raise". She was the organist at Easton United Methodist church for 49 years. She loved her family very much and loved hearing their stories and accomplishments. Sondra was preceded on death by her parents, husband Lewis, sister Madelon WaterHouse, step-sister Sharon Duits, Step-brother Max Inman. She is survived by her step-brother Victor Inman, her children Annette (Ken) Blanchard of Lowell Connie (Brad) Mulford of Ionia, Diane (Duane) Denman of Saranac, Chris Getts of Saranac, Grandchildren, Angie (Beau) Stephens of Saranac, Lisa (Travis) Lehman of Lowell, Darcy (Jared) Foy of Ionia, Dana (Ty) Denman of Saranac, Denise (Brett) Potter of Dansville, Kiley (Kevin) Rasch, Justin Mulfore of Saranac, Mariah Mulford of Ionia, Hunter Mulford of Ionia and 12 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held at Lake Funeral Home in Saranac October 5, 2021 from 4-7 p.m, funeral services will be at Easton United Methodist Church in Ionia October 6, 2021 at 11 a.m.. Memorial contributions may be made to Easton United Methodist Church.
