Georgiann Ward, age 84, of Muir, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, Dec. 9,
2015 at Hazel I Findlay County Manor in St. Johns.  Georgiann was born June 16,
1931, in Pewamo, the daughter of Martin and Esther (Miller) Schafer.  She
married Robert Ward on Sept. 29, 1959, at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church in
Fowler.  She worked for 30 years as an accountant for the state of Michigan. 
She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Hubbardston.  She
dearly loved spending time with her family and friends, especially her four
grandchildren.  She enjoyed traveling and the Christmas season.

She is survived by her sons, R. Thomas and Kathleen Ward of Muir, Patrick and
Kelly Ward of Grand Rapids; grandchildren, R. Thomas and Maurhya Ward III,
Jennifer Erin and Abraham Van Etten, Jacklyn Kay and Andrew Cascini, Patrick
Sean Ward; and great grandchildren, Jase, Marley and Cole.  Also brothers and
sisters, Jerome and Trudy Schafer, Helen Marie Schafer, Don and Shirley Simon,
Mark and JoAnn Schafer, Francis and Mari Schafer and brother-in-law, Jim and
Cherlyn Ward, and many loving nieces and nephews.  Georgiann was preceded in
death by her parents, husband, Robert, brother Paul Schafer and many brothers
and sisters-in-law.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, Dec. 14, 2015, at 11 a.m. at
St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.  Interment will follow in St. John the
Baptist Catholic Cemetery.  Visitation will be held at Lux and Schnepp Funeral
Home, Carson City on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. with a rosary service
beginning at 7:30 p.m.  Memorials may be sent as Mass Intentions.
