Born in Boston Township, Feb. 8, 1933, he was the son of R. C. and Catherine Tucker Warner. He had been employed by Oldsmobile Traffic Division, Lansing, for 30 years, and had lived all his life in the Saranac-Clarksville area. He was married to Charlene Gasper Oct. 5, 1980, in Lowell. She survives. Also surviving are his parents; three sons, Douglas Warner of Ludington, John Warner Jr. of Texas and Michael Warner of Ionia; one daughter, Mrs. Michael (Catherine) Morgan of Lowell; three stepchildren, Donald Merillat of Saranac, Mrs. Kevin (Kathy) Moyer of Saranac, and Mrs. Lee (Karen) Jones, also of Saranac; and 10 grandchildren. Also surviving are four brothers, Thomas of Grand Rapids, Chester J. of Lowell, William E. of Ionia; and Daniel C. of Scottville; and one sister, Mrs. Earl (Carolyn) Benedict of Saranac. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. from the Lake Funeral Home, Saranac, the Rev. Eldon Schram of Zion United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in South Boston Cemetery.
