Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, 17 Jun 1954

Mrs. Josephine Warner, 86, died at 7:10 a.m. Thursday, June 17, at the Miss 
Jessie Robinson nursing home on Morse street after being a patient there since 
June 1.

Mrs. Warner was born in Orleans township May 14, 1868, the daughter of John and 
Electa Antcliff.  She married Hiley Warner in 1889.  Mr. Warner died in 
February, 1923.  Mrs. Warner had lived her entire life in Ionia county except 
for six years in the West because of her husband’s health.  For the last 23 
years she had lived with her daughter, Mrs. Kenneth Wheaton, of 447 Harter 
street.  She was a member of the literary club of Orleans and the Orleans 
Methodist church.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Wheaton of Ionia and Mrs. Hazel Towne of 
Tucson, Ariz.; two grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. William Haberstumpf of 
Ionia; and one brother, Chan Antcliff of Ionia.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at the Boynton funeral home with 
the Rev. Heath Goodwin officiating.  Interment will be in the family lot in 
Orleans.
