The deceased went over to the base ball ground to see the game and while there was taken very sick and started for home. He became much worse while returning, having a violent fit of vomiting and finally collapsed. He was carried to his home where Dr. Litle treated him but his ailment was such that he was beyond help as a post mortem examination held the following day proved. Mr. Warner had been ailing and unable to work for the past ten weeks, complaining of trouble in his stomach. The post mortem revealed a cancerous condition with hemorrhage as the immediate cause of death. Mr. Warner was a carpenter and had lived in Belding about nine or ten years. He was forty-six years old, and a member of the S.O.V. Camp. The funeral was held at the Church of Christ Tuesday afternoon. Rev. C. M. Pease officiated and spoke comforting words to the sorrowing wife and family.
