Mr. Warner, who had been in ill health for the past ten years, had been confined to the sanatorium since May. Surviving him are his widow, Ethel M. Warner; a son, Tom Warner of Saranac; two daughters, Mrs. Harry Coulson of Carson City and Donna Warner at home. He was the father of Pvt. Byron A. Warner, the first Ionia county soldier of the present war to be brought home for burial. Pvt. Warner died of tuberculosis at Fort Devens, Mass., in April 1942. Funeral services will be held at the home in Ronald township, Sunday, August 23, at 1:30 o'clock and 2:00 o'clock Rev. Lewis Herrick will officiate at the Palo Methodist church and burial will be in the Palo cemetery. The body will be at the Myers funeral home until Saturday noon when it will be taken to the home.
