May 5, 2016 RANSOM GAYLE "RG" WARNER Ransom Gayle "RG" Warner, 79, of Belding, passed away Sunday evening, May 1, 2016 at Laurels of Carson City. RG was born in Sand Creek, Michigan, the son of James and Irene (Tuckerman) Warner. While born and raised in Lenawee county, RG and his wife Donna moved to Belding in 1955 to manage the newly established branch of Warner & Sons Trucking Co. RG's hard work, dedication and love of the trucking industry led him to establish K W Express, Inc., a second trucking firm in Belding. He was a past member and president of the Belding Chamber of Commerce, past member of the city Club and Moose Lodge in Greenville. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and snowmobiles, perfected the are of "doing it yourself" and later in life enjoyed fishing while wintering in Southern Alabama. He had a true love of family and was very proud of his children's and grandchildren's accomplishments. He married Donna Mae Hippert on July 23, 1955 in Adrian, Michigan. RG is loved and survived by his wife Donna and their children; Kirk (Cindy) Warner, Kort (Mary) Warner, Kristie (Curt) Walls, all of Belding; grandchildren, Jason Warner, Ryan (Megan) Warner, bBrandon (Katherine) Warner, Carissa (Tony) McClary, Leslie Warner, Alisha (Dennis) Strohkirch, Garnet Scarabin and Kyle MacDermaid and his fiancee (Tiffany Tor); great-grandchildren, Amyiah, Lillian, Brayden, Madden, Myleigh, Ransom and Audrey; siblings, Marcia Doty of Holt, Gary Warner of Blding; three sister-in-laws, Sherrie Warner of Belding and Sue Ann (Richard) Curnow of Alanson, and Patricia of Hubbardston; one aunt, Fern Marine of Adrian; and several nieces and nephews. RG was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Richard. In keeping with his wishes cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be noon Saturday, May 7, 2016 at Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding with Pastor Ken Harger officiating. Visitation with the family will be Friday evening from 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, please consider memorials to Faith Community Christian School, Belding Museum or the Alvah N. Belding Library.
