          RITES HELD FOR MAUDE E. WARNER
   Miss Maude E. Warner, 84, passed away Christmas Day at the Ionia Manor where she
had been a patient for 
a year.
   She was born in Sebewa Township Feb. 20, 1885, the daughter of Jacob and Ella
(Martin) Warner, and 
attended the Lake Odessa School.
   Employed as cashier and bookkeeper at the Otis Miner store for eight years, she
left there in 1918 and was 
employed as booker at the local Arctic Ice Cream Co. for 10 years and in 1928 was
transferred to the main 
plant in Detroit.  Miss Warner retired in 1953 and returned to Lake Odessa to
reside.
   Nov. 6, 1966, she suffered a broken hip and since then had been hospitalized and
in rest homes.
   Miss Warner was a member of the Untied Methodist Church WSCS of the church.
   Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Hortense Leak of Dearborn Heights and Mrs. Rose
Irwin of Lake Odessa, also 
nieces and nephews.
   Funeral services were held Sunday at 2:00 at the Pickens Funeral Chapel.  Rev.
Marvin Zinnerman officiated, 
with burial in Lakeside Cemetery.
