He was born Dec. 26, 1909, in Williamston and was graduated as valedictorian from Williamston High School. He worked in the U.S. Customs Service in Detroit and Port Huron, also as a substitute mail carrier and operated the family's country grocery store. He retired from Motor Wheel of Lansing after working there 24 years. He and his wife, Marie, lived in Arizona for 12 years, after living in the Lake Odessa area. Warner was a member of the Evangelistic United Brethren Church. He is survived by his wife, Marie of Wickenburg; three daughters, Maxine Nowlin of Mason, Donna Shushtari of Lansing and Anita Fink of Pasedena, Calif.; one son, Robert of Lake Odessa; one brother, Fred of Michigan; one sister, Irma Pollok of Florida; 13 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and many cousins. He was preceded in death by a brother, Russel, and his oldest son, Patrick. Memorial services were held July 18 at the Alliance Church in Wickenburg, with the Rev. Robert Goldenberg officiating. Arrangements were made by the Wickenburg Funeral Home.
